Can Uber pick up at a private jet terminal?

Usually yes, at the terminal's street entrance. JSX says so in writing for 10 of its terminals. Give the driver the terminal's name and street address, not just the airport, because the airport's name can lead to a different building.

Where it is confirmed

JSX states that you may be picked up or dropped off at its lounge by Uber, Lyft or taxi at these terminals:

At most of its other terminals JSX recommends arriving by rideshare because parking is limited, without saying exactly where the car stops.

Where it does not work

  • Taos: JSX says Uber and Lyft do not operate there. Book a shuttle or car service ahead, or rent a car.
  • Lajitas: a resort shuttle meets the flight; the ride is about five minutes.

What to tell the driver

Enter the street address as the destination, and put the terminal's name in the pickup or drop-off note. JSX warns at Hobbs and Concord that a map app given only the airport's name can send the car to the wrong side of the field.

For a pickup after you land, request the car once you are in the lobby and can see the entrance, and use the same street address.

Charter terminals

The big FBO operators do not publish where a rideshare should stop. We have not found one that says a rideshare car may drive to the aircraft, so plan on the front entrance. If it matters, phone the terminal's front desk; the number is on each terminal's page.

A car service booked through your charter company is a different arrangement, and the company will tell you where it meets you.
